I am currently directing "Bridge to Baraka" - One Women Show written and performed by Yvette Heyliger, which will appear as a part of the Solo Show Festival on New York City's Theater Row on September 9 2018.  This show has also appeared at the National Black Theatre Festival in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and the New Yorker Fringe Festival.

Writers in Performance is a 12 week workshop that leads to a performance which Mr. Giacalone has directed for the past four years.  Auditions are held in early fall and workshop classes follow soon after.  Performances are held in December. The cast members are a mix of students and professionals who are both writers and performers.  Each year a theme is chosen and stories, poems, monologues, and short scripts are written to be performed. 
Writers and Performance has recently been awarded a grant from Lower Manhattan Cultural Council for the 2013/14 season.
